Just North of the nation’s capitol is FedEx Field, home of the Washington Football Team. No the stadium is not in Washington, DC, but in Landover, MD. |
the capacity of the Fedex Field is 82 thousands of people. |
FedExField or Redskins Stadium is a football stadium located in an unincorporated area near the Capital Beltway in Prince George's County. FedExField is the home of the Washington Redskins football team. From 2004 - 2010, it had the largest stadium capacity in the NFL at over 91,000. |
The location of the stadium has made getting to the stadium difficult and time-consuming through public transportation. The stadium is about a mile away from the Morgan Boulevard station, the nearest Metro station to the stadium. Furthermore, federal regulations prohibit publicly paid shuttle service from public transit agencies as long as a private service is available. Since this isn't cost effective, fans taking public transportation must walk to and from the stadium. That trip usually takes as long as 20 minutes on most days. |
That is crazy, and very interesting! I find it really hard to put stuff like this into perspective, especially with the seating capacity. How old is this stadium? This would be really cool to visit. I find stuff like this that I don’t know much about. It's really interesting, and it's easy to understand and get some really cool facts. What made you interested in stadiums, and have you ever had a chance to go and visit one, or one you wish you could?
ReplyDeleteWow! I agree with Gabby; this is amazing! I would love to visit more stadiums. We don't watch sports on TV at home, and I think I would be a huge sports fan if I could see more in person.
